PlayArea OS in Bahrain

PlayArea OS runs a kids' play area, soft play centre, trampoline park or family entertainment centre in Bahrain: dinars and a VAT rate that belong to your organisation, BenefitPay and cash on their own payment lines, a Friday–Saturday weekend, a staff app in Arabic or English, and WhatsApp as the family channel.

Set up for Bahrain

Manama, Muharraq, Riffa and Isa Town are close together, so a Bahraini play business often becomes two or three sites within a short drive of each other. PlayArea OS is built for that: one organisation, one login, and a branch for each site, with the country, currency, VAT rate, timezone and weekend set once.

Dinars and your VAT rate

BHD is on the currency list, and the VAT rate is a field on your organisation rather than a number fixed in the software. The standard rate has been 10% since 2022, and the National Bureau for Revenue publishes the rate in force; you enter the rate that applies to you once, and the POS, receipts, party deposits and balances, purchase orders and profit and loss follow it. Purchase VAT sits on each line as stock is received, so the quarter is read off a record rather than rebuilt from receipts.

BenefitPay, cards and cash

Payment types are yours to define, so BenefitPay, card and cash each get their own line at the POS and the shift closes with its takings broken down by payment type in dinars.

The Bahraini week and National Day on 16 December

The working week runs Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend. The weekend is a setting on your organisation that weekend pricing, rota cover and booking quotes all read. National Day on 16 December is a public holiday and a busy one for a family venue, and Ramadan shifts are built the same way as any other, with their own start and end times.

Arabic for your team and your families

The staff app runs in Arabic or English from a switch in your organisation settings, laid out right to left, with numbers kept in the digits your team reads every day. The waiver, the booking form and the feedback page open on a parent's phone from a QR code with an English and Arabic button, so families read and sign in the language they prefer.

Several sites, one login

Each branch keeps its own capacity, cash, shifts, rota and reports under one organisation, so a Seef unit and a Muharraq unit are two branches rather than two systems. Multi-branch covers the setup, and multi-site groups covers the view across them.

WhatsApp, where families already are

A parent booking a party or asking about opening hours does it on WhatsApp. One inbox sits in front of the desk and the office, tied to the customer record, with campaigns by WhatsApp and by email. The WhatsApp page covers the setup.

Elsewhere in the Gulf

PlayArea OS runs the same way across the Gulf. The Gulf page sets the countries side by side, and there are pages for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Getting started in Bahrain

PlayArea OS runs in any modern browser on the devices your venue already owns. Your families, product list and opening balances come across from your old POS or spreadsheets, and the switching page walks the move through. Questions go to info@playareaos.com.

Questions

Does PlayArea OS work in Bahraini dinars with VAT?

Yes. BHD is on the currency list, and the VAT rate is a field on your organisation, so you enter the rate that applies to your venue once and the POS, receipts, party balances, purchase orders and the profit and loss all follow it.

Can I record BenefitPay and cash separately?

Yes. Payment types are yours to define, so BenefitPay, card and cash each get their own line at the POS, and the shift closes with its takings broken down by payment type in dinars.

Can PlayArea OS run in Arabic?

Yes. The staff app runs in Arabic or English from a switch in your organisation settings, and the waiver, the booking form and the feedback page open on a parent's phone from a QR code with an English and Arabic button.

Can I set the weekend to Friday and Saturday?

Yes. Which days count as the weekend is a setting on your organisation, and weekend pricing, rota cover and booking quotes all read it. Payroll keeps its own default rest days, and an individual employee's rest days override them.
