PlayArea OS across the Gulf

PlayArea OS runs kids' play areas, soft play centres, trampoline parks and family entertainment centres across the Gulf: the same floor, counter and office everywhere, with the currency, tax rate, weekend and language set once for your own country, in Arabic or English, with WhatsApp as the family channel.

One system, set for your country

The POS, the play timers and colour wristbands, waivers signed on a parent's phone, birthday parties, multi-visit passes, the café and the stock behind it, the rota and the pay run work the same in Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait City, Doha and Manama. What differs from one country to the next is a handful of settings that belong to your organisation.

  • The currency. Dirhams, riyals, dinars and the other Gulf currencies are on the currency list, and every price, receipt and report follows the one you choose.
  • The tax rate. A field on your organisation, so you enter the rate that applies to your venue and the POS, purchase orders and profit and loss follow it.
  • The weekend. The days that count as the weekend are a setting, and weekend pricing, rota cover and booking quotes read it.
  • The language. The staff app runs in Arabic or English, and families get an English and Arabic button on the waiver, booking form and feedback page.

Pick your country

  • United Arab Emirates: dirhams, VAT, the WPS salary file and UAE e-invoicing.
  • Saudi Arabia: riyals, a 15% VAT rate, the Saudi week and Ramadan hours.
  • Kuwait: dinars, your tax rate, KNET and cash lines, Arabic and WhatsApp.
  • Qatar: riyals, your tax rate, NAPS and cash lines, Arabic and WhatsApp.
  • Bahrain: dinars, your VAT rate, BenefitPay and cash lines, Arabic and WhatsApp.

Why WhatsApp is the family channel

Across the Gulf, a parent booking a party or asking about opening hours does it on WhatsApp rather than by email. PlayArea OS puts one inbox in front of the desk and the office, answers the common questions at midnight in your own words, reminds families before a session ends or a party starts, and sends campaigns by WhatsApp and email. The WhatsApp page covers the setup.

Moving in from what you use today

Your families, your product list and your opening balances come across from your old POS or your spreadsheets, and you go live on a day that suits your venue. The switching page walks the whole move through. Questions go to info@playareaos.com.

Questions

Which Gulf countries does PlayArea OS run in?

It runs in any modern browser, so a venue anywhere in the Gulf can use it. The country, the currency, the tax rate, the timezone and the weekend days belong to your own organisation, and there is a page for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.

Does PlayArea OS handle each country's currency and tax rate?

Yes. Dirhams, riyals, dinars and the other Gulf currencies are on the currency list, and the tax rate is a field on your organisation, so you enter the rate that applies to your venue and everything from the POS to the profit and loss follows it.

Is there an Arabic version of PlayArea OS?

Yes. The staff app runs in Arabic or English from a switch in your organisation settings, the waiver, booking form and feedback page offer an English and Arabic button for families, and this website has an Arabic copy.

Can one organisation run venues in more than one Gulf country?

Each branch keeps its own capacity, cash, shifts, rota and reports under one organisation and one login. The country, currency and tax rate belong to the organisation, so a group that trades in two currencies sets up one organisation per currency.
