Software for a family entertainment centre
PlayAreaOS is one system for a family entertainment centre, where the floor and the office are the same business but rarely the same software. It carries the POS, the timers, the waivers and the parties out front, and the rota, payroll, finance, stock and reporting behind, across every site in the group.
Out front
- One POS for play time, café, party balances, passes and vouchers, still selling when the internet drops.
- Per-child play timers with colour wristbands, time-up alerts and overstay.
- Live occupancy against each site's own capacity figure.
- Digital waivers signed on a phone, so a returning family is already on file.
- Party bookings from a public form, with deposits, confirmations and reminders.
- Lost-child alerts that reach the whole floor at once.
Out back
- Staff rota with geo-located clock-in and a demand forecast beside the shifts you planned.
- Payroll with salaries, leave, deductions and self-service payslips, and the UAE WPS bank file, MOHRE SIF and gratuity where they apply.
- Finance: photograph a supplier bill, watch a running profit and loss, report your VAT.
- Stock and purchasing: suppliers, purchase orders and receiving.
- A reports suite that exports to CSV when you would rather work the numbers yourself.
Across sites
A second or a fifth location is a branch of the same organisation, each with its own capacity, cash, shifts, rota and reports, while prices, packages, staff and the family list stay shared over the top. The multi-site groups page describes how a group looks from the outside.
Questions
How is a centre billed?
One subscription for the organisation, monthly or yearly, on whichever of the three bundles matches how much of the business runs in the system. The pricing page breaks them down, and info@playareaos.com will quote against your site count and size.
How do we migrate from what we run today?
Catalogue and customers import from CSV, with a check report before anything is written and a corrected file that tops up rather than duplicates. The switching page describes the move, and the migration guide goes deeper on opening balances.
How much setting up does a centre face?
Two pieces of work: your own catalogue and packages, and your own people, sites and roles. Both are entered once and change whenever the business does. Everything else opens up from there.
Does it need new hardware?
Every part of it is a browser tab, so the POS, the timer boards, the office and a manager's phone are all devices the centre already owns.
Where do our records live?
They stay the centre's, across every site. They are copied off-site nightly, over an encrypted connection to storage that encrypts what it keeps, and the reports suite exports to CSV.
