Software for kids' play areas

PlayAreaOS runs a kids' play area from one login: the counter, the floor, the parents and the office. It is built for the owner who is on the POS at three and doing the rota at ten, and it works in a browser on the tablets and laptops already sitting in the venue.

One counter, one afternoon

A family arrives, signs your waiver on their own phone, and the child goes on the clock with a colour band. Juice, grip socks and the balance on Saturday's party ring up on the same sale, and the POS keeps selling when the internet drops. Nobody is holding times in their head or writing a number down twice.

The floor reads itself

Colour tells the team who is due out next, from the desk or from the middle of the frames, and the board shows how full the venue is against its own capacity figure. Parties come in from a public form and confirm, remind and thank without being chased; the month calendar shows which Saturday still has room for one more.

The office is the same login

Rota, payroll, supplier bills, stock and reports all read from the sales and shifts the day already produced, so the evening's admin is reading rather than retyping. Every price, package, VAT rate and word a parent sees is yours to write. Records are copied off-site every night, over an encrypted connection to storage that encrypts what it keeps.

Questions

What does PlayAreaOS cost?

PlayAreaOS is priced per organisation, monthly or yearly, in three bundles built around how much of the venue you want in one place. The pricing page sets out what each one covers. For a figure, email info@playareaos.com with your venue type, city and size.

How do I move over from the POS and spreadsheets I use now?

Your product list and your customer list come across from a spreadsheet or a POS export. A check report shows what the import would create before anything is written, and the old system keeps trading until the day you go live. The switching page walks the move through step by step.

What is involved in setting it up?

Mostly entering your own prices, packages and waiver wording, so the POS matches how the venue actually trades. Once those are in, the first shift opens on the counter tablet and you are selling.

Do I need to buy anything to run it?

It runs in any modern browser, so the counter tablet becomes the POS and the timer board, and the office laptop becomes the back office. Nothing to install, nothing to buy.

Do parents have to install anything?

No. A parent scans a QR code for the waiver, the party booking form, the price list or the feedback page, and each opens as an ordinary web page on the phone in their hand.

What happens to our records?

They belong to the venue. Every night the whole organisation is copied off-site, over an encrypted connection to storage that encrypts what it keeps, and you can ask for a copy of your own data whenever you want it.
