PlayAreaOS is one system for a soft play centre's three businesses: the play floor, the café and the party room. Sessions, flat whites and a party balance ring up on the same POS, and the same login carries the rota, the payroll, the stock and the numbers at the end of the month.
Three rhythms, one POS
A soft play centre sells time, food and Saturdays, and the three rarely keep the same clock. Here they share one counter and one set of records.
- The play floor. Every child on one board, each clock matched to the colour band on their wrist, with time-up alerts, overstay and live occupancy against the centre's capacity figure.
- The café. Hot drinks, snacks and grip socks on the same sale as the session, with suppliers, purchase orders and receiving sitting behind them.
- The party room. A public booking form with your packages and deposits, confirmations and reminders that go out on their own, and a month calendar showing how full each weekend already is.
And the half nobody sees
Waivers are signed on a parent's phone from a QR code at the door, so a returning family is already on file and the clipboard folder goes. Behind the counter, the rota with clock-in, payroll, bills and a running profit and loss all read from the shifts and sales already recorded. It lives in a browser and keeps selling when the connection drops.

What will it cost the centre?
One subscription covers the organisation, billed monthly or yearly. There are three bundles, from a front desk that needs to sign families in and take money, up to one that carries payroll, bills and stock as well. The pricing page lists what sits in each.
How do we bring across what we already have?
Bring the catalogue and the family list in as CSV files. Nothing is written until a check report has told you what the import would do, and running a corrected file again tops up rather than duplicates. The switching page covers the whole move, including opening balances.
Will weekend staff pick it up?
The counter is a screen of tiles: sessions, drinks, socks, passes, party balances. New starters take money on their first shift, and nobody has to remember which system a party balance lives in.
Does it run on the devices we already have?
Any modern browser will do. The tablet on the café counter runs the POS, a screen on the wall carries the timer board, and the laptop in the office is the office. Nothing to install.
